First HRT Specialist Clinic opened in Holles Street

 There is no excuse these days for not knowing about the various options of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which can be used during the transitional journey, called perimenopause, and post menopause. 

New Menopause Clinic opened in Holles Street, Dublin, 1st December, 2021

It warms my heart that at long last there is funding for 4 specialist Menopause clinics in Ireland. The first one opened in December 2021, in Holles Street. Dr Lundy, specialist menopausal GP is heading the multi disciplinary team Three others clinics are expected to happen in 2022, across the country.

I find it really exciting that this important stage of a woman’s life is getting the recognition it deserves, at long last.

These specialist Menopause Clinics are specifically for women who need extra help beyond what their GP can do. There are four clinical criteria that your GP will use to determine if you need to be referred.

The money for these clinics is ringfenced by the minister of health, Stephen Donnelly via ring-fenced investment in the Women's Health Fund. So looks promising news that 4 will be available by end of 2022.
