Finger-licking 4 ingredient Chocolate Love Hearts

Chocolate almond love heartsWhether you want an easy snack, or dessert that you want to keep light, these fit the bill.

I'd bought the ingredients at the weekend but thanks to the constant pain I've had since last year I couldn't take anymore and had to rest. Turns out part of the problem is an impacted tooth causing me endless grief. It's too soon to know if that will fix the whole pain issue on the left of my body.

Indulge in these, simple to make, love hearts. You can use any mould you like. They were made originally for Valentine's dessert. Tony's finger licking response was a huge endorsement from himself.

I use Dr Coy's chocolate here as it cuts down on ingredients and packs the flavour in.

Ingredients:

1 (35g) Dr Coy's vanilla crisp bar
1 (35g Dr Coy's raspberry bar
50g Meridien smooth and runny almond butter

Optional: 2 dried raspberries, broken up. If you don't have this then crush some almond flakes instead.

Method:

Melt the chocolate bars in a bowl over a small saucepan with simmering water. Once melted remove and place on a heatproof chopping board. Add the almond butter and using a fork, mix through the chocolate until evenly combined.

Equally divide into the mould you're using. Top off with the broken up raspberries. Freeze for 30 minutes.

Grab the kettle and get the herbal tea ready, find a cosy spot and enjoy your chill time with a love one, even if that is yourself (who better anyway).

Benefits:

At a glance almonds are packed with nutrients such as healthy fats, protein, vitamin E, fibre, magnesium, calcium to name a few.

Dr Coy's chocolate contains fibre, protein, vitamin E.

Raspberries are a good source of fibre, vitamin C, manganese, B vitamins.

As you can see there are a few bone supporting nutrients above, very important for us menopausal women's bones. So when you indulge it's worth grabbing a snack with benefits.
